Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) hitches its trailer to the NAACC. Liability insurance for members at AMCA events is one of the most important elements of the club, yet coverage has been problematic for those outside the United States. Well, we have good news for our Canadian members. The AMCA Board is proud to announce a new partnership with the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada, which will provide the needed liability coverage for Canadian club members and their families.

At the AMCA’s annual board meeting this past October, the board voted to accept the NAACC’s offer to provide insurance. The AMCA will purchase memberships in the NAACC for all Canadian members, at no cost to them or any increase in dues.

The NAACC is a watchdog group charged with identifying threats to the collector car/motorcycle hobby and warding off restrictive laws from ill-advised legislators unaware of the impact of proposed statutes. To follow NAACC regulations, all Canadian members will be enrolled in a single AMCA chapter within Canada; for that reason, the club has formed the Maple Leaf Chapter, which the current Ace-Hy, Buffalo, Orcas and any future Canadian chapters will fall under. The independent operations of each chapter remain unchanged without additional oversight – in other words, it will be business as usual for our Canadian chapters.

At the same time, this partnership reduces the exposure to risk for Canadian chapters utilizing the AMCA brand. Members will be sent membership cards to their local chapter to distribute at future meetings. Look for more information from the NAACC soon. The AMCA looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the NAACC. Memberships Effective January 1, 2025.
