Gilbert is the founder of the VAQ , Vintage Automobile Club of Québec. (1974) The VAQ is the largest vintage collector car club in Canada. He has significant judging experience with the VAQ , Vermont Car Club, Le Mirage Concours and the Lyon (France) antique car club. He is the Chief Judge at the Blainville Concours d’Élégance and the Editor and Chief of the monthly VAQ publication: “L’Auto Ancienne”.
He has owned and restored many antique cars from the 1920-50’s era. Gilbert has been an Antique car appraiser since 1975. This will be his 48th consecutive year at the Hershey Antique Car Show. He has visited the Meadow Brook and Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance along with many others. Gilbert is truly a renaissance man.
